Accessibility
This is how we make our digital information accessible
When we created the website and app, we took many things into account:
- you can increase the font size on our website to up to 200%
- you can have our website read to you by a screen reader
- we use easy-to-read fonts
- we use headings and subheadings so that you can scan the text properly
- we write in language that is easy to understand (language level B1) and use short sentences
- we subtitle our videos and offer transcripts
We keep our digital information accessible by:
- updating and maintaining our knowledge
- testing for accessibility when improving and expanding our website and app
- checking content for accessibility ahead of publication
- uploading accessible new PDFs and replacing outdated PDFs (step by step)
Investigation reports about Zorg en Zekerheid
In 2025 and 2026, an independent company tested our website and app. The company used the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA for this. These are the international guidelines for digital accessibility. We meet most of these guidelines. That makes us very happy! We are working hard on improvements in areas where we do not yet meet the guidelines. We always check the guidelines before we develop our website and app further.
In the WCAG investigation reports (in Dutch), you can see which parts of our website and app have been tested:
- zorgenzekerheid.nl
- service.zorgenzekerheid.nl
- mijn.zorgenzekerheid.nl via Android
- mijn.zorgenzekerheid.nl via iOS
